What’s Audi planning for SA in 2025?

Audi fans can look forward to various updates next year, including the A3, Q7, A5 and Q6 e-tron.

As Audi South Africa continues to establish its happy middle-ground between a mandated all-electric future and products that still resonate with local audiences, plans for 2025 include an interesting mix of familiarity and exciting e-tron propulsion.

Confirmed: The first Audi models to arrive in South Africa in 2025 take the shape of the updated A3, including its barnstorming flagship RS 3 quattro derivative. There’s no talk of an updated S3 yet.

Already available to order, Audi also expects the updated Q7 and Q8 – including SQ7, SQ8 and RS Q8 – to make landfall early next year.

Scheduled for the second quarter, the new A5 and Q6 e-tron will be complemented by an updated RS e-tron GT. Arriving before the end of the year will be the A6 e-tron and all-new Q5 SUV.

Speculation: Showcased via headline numbers including 471kW and 850N.m, and a record Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time, we think Audi South Africa will look to build on the momentum of receiving a sought-after allocation of the limited-edition RS 6 GT by introducing the mighty RS Q8 Performance. Offsetting the emissions from the most powerful series-production engine it has ever produced will be the RS e-tron GT Performance.
