Maserati shows off new GT2 Stradale at exclusive Abu Dhabi event

Maserati showcased the championship-winning GT2 Stradale and other models, offering attendees track and road driving experiences.

Maserati recently held an exclusive two-day track event at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, showcasing its latest models, most notably the new GT2 Stradale.

This road-legal version of the GT2 race car, fresh off its dominant run in the 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series Championship, took centre stage. The GT2 racer racked up an impressive 16 pole positions, 12 victories, seven second-place finishes, and five third-place finishes, ultimately winning both the drivers’ and teams’ titles in the Am class.

Attendees at the Abu Dhabi event experienced the GT2 Stradale firsthand with professional drivers at the wheel, demonstrating its track prowess. The car boasts a 640 CV Nettuno V6 engine, enabling a 0-100km/h sprint in a claimed 2.8s and a top speed of 324km/h. The inclusion of a CORSA DRIVE MODE emphasises its track-focused nature. Maserati is building just 914 units of the GT2 Stradale, a number chosen to commemorate the brand’s founding year of 1914, making it a highly exclusive offering.

Beyond the GT2 Stradale, Maserati provided attendees with on-road driving experiences in the Grecale SUV, allowing them to sample its performance and everyday usability. The GranTurismo, Grecale Folgore, GranCabrio Trofeo, and MC20 supercar were also on display, highlighting the breadth of Maserati’s current lineup. Test drives were available for the GranTurismo Trofeo and GranTurismo Modena. The Trofeo, with its 410kW twin-turbo Nettuno V6, hits 100km/h in a claimed 3.5s and tops out at 320km/h. The Modena, slightly less powerful at 365kW, achieves 0-100km/h in a claimed 3.9s and has a top speed of 302km/h.
