Tom Cruise returns in fine form to reprise his popular role as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – currently showing at Nu Metro Menlyn and Woodlands. This explosive, action-packed adventure thriller also stars Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris and Alec Baldwin.

With the IMF now disbanded and Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, a new threat – called the syndicate – soon emerges. The syndicate is a network of highly skilled operatives who are dedicated to establishing a new world order via an escalating series of terrorist attacks.

Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the syndicate – an international rogue organisation just as highly skilled and committed to destroying the IMF.

This new instalment in the movie version of the popular Mission Impossible-franchise (based on the classic TV series) promises to take viewers on a roller-coaster ride of epic proportions. Reports have surfaced that Tom Cruise did some of the film’s death-defying stunts himself, including a much talked-about “clinging to a plane” scene (which was shot with little help from the digital effects-team).
