Touch of Class launches new album

Hundreds of people enjoyed the Touch of Class music show at Weiveld in the east of Pretoria on Saturday.

Music group Touch of Class launched its new album 100 Duisend Perde at Weiveld in the east of Pretoria on Saturday.

Touch of Class supporters came in their numbers and filled the venue. The group, consisting of two talented singers Ruhan du Toit and Deon van der Merwe, released a double album of more than 40 songs.

The group is more than 30 years old after being formed in 1985, by Van der Merwe and Ronell Erasmus.

Its album Ek en my Meisie in 1992, shot up to gold status with more that 25-thousand copies sold before reaching platinum two years later.

After being with the group for 23 years, Ronell left to focus on her gospel career allowing space for the dynamic singer, Du Toit to join.
