The 7th Groves and Vineyards Festival is returning to Casalinga Ristorante Italiano in Muldersdrift on 28 and 29 May, and we’re giving away tickets.
So foodies and wine lovers can look forward to one of the most anticipated country festivals of the year.
Visitors will be treated to a fantastic selection of fine wines from 16 estates, showcasing the very best South African and international wines.
Hosted at Casalinga, the home of authentic Italian cuisine made from fresh, organic ingredients, the festival celebrates two iconic Mediterranean plants: the olive tree and the grape vine, and all the delicious products that can be made from them.
The array of artisanal food stalls is the perfect excuse to stock up on cold-pressed olive oil and sweet treats, while a stroll through the organic produce market is sure to bring out the Italian chef in you.
Not really a wine drinker? No problem. Craft beer on tap and a selection of pop-up restaurants will cater for all tastes.
Live music will be provided by the legendary Kahn Morbee, of The Parlotones, plus The Muses string quartet – the last word in glamour and gorgeousness.
A supervised play area will keep youngsters safely amused, giving parents the chance to enjoy some quality time indulging their Mediterranean lifestyle.
The Groves and Vineyards Festival starts at 11:00 and finishes at 18:00 daily. Tickets are R165 for an adult (general admission) and R90 for children under the age of 12.
