Daughter allegedly beats mother (53) to death

A 33-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with her mother’s murder in Glen Marais East Rand, Kempton Express reports.

According to Kempton Park police spokesperson Captain Jethro Mtshali, the woman was arrested on Sunday morning after police arrived to find her 53-year-old mother’s body in their swimming pool.

“Police were summoned to the Mona Street home at about 7am. Neighbours called police after they alleged to have witnessed the suspect beating her mother,” Mtshali explained.

“Upon their arrival, the victim was found inside the swimming pool and paramedics had already certified her dead.”

The woman, who was still on the scene when the cops arrived, was arrested immediately.

She will appear in court where she will face a murder charge.
