Roos and McIntyre share lead

There's a two-way tie at the top of the leaderboard of the Vodacom Origins of Golf presented by Samsung with PH McIntyre and Jake Roos sitting at 12-under-par after two rounds of the event at Vaal de Grace.

McIntyre, who led overnight, carded a second round 68, while Roos closed the gap after ending the first round in second, by signing for a 67.

Birdies at holes 12 to 14 set the tone of the day for McIntyre after he started on the 10^th tee, while Roos managed birdies on four of his first nine holes. Roos then scored on the first and fifth hole before making a bogey on the par three sixth.

McIntyre meanwhile managed four birdies on his back nine with two bogeys blotting his scorecard.

There’s a gap of two shots between the leaders and the trio of Tyrone Ferriera, CJ Du Plessis and Wallie Coetsee after they shot rounds of 67 to move to 10-under-par.
