A driver of a sedan was killed instantly during a head on collision with a fuel tanker in Mpumalanga early on Thursday.
Department of Safety and Security spokesperson Joseph Mabuza said at around 12.20am collided head on with the tanker truck on the N4 bypass Road towards Karino about one kilometre from the split, Lowvelder reported.
The vehicle was travelling from the direction of Ngodwana and the truck from the opposite direction.
The truck driver was transported to hospital with injuries.
Police are investigating the accident.
