Rain to make Easter road trips more hazardous

Motorists are advised to exercise extra caution as wet weather conditions are expected in various parts of the country.


Motorists who will be embarking on various road trips ahead of and during the Easter weekend, are advised to exercise extra caution as wet weather conditions are expected in various parts of the country.

Speaking to The Citizen yesterday, forecaster at the SA Weather Service Bransby Bulo said today thay chances of rainfall would remain for the Eastern Cape, eastern parts of Northern Cape, the whole of Free State, as well as parts of the Western Cape.

“Tomorrow the thunderstorms are expected to shift to the eastern parts of Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, as well as the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape, and parts of Mpumalanga and Limpopo, including Johannesburg and Vereeniging.

We are giving it a 60% chance of showers and thundershowers.

“By Wednesday, the chances of rain will decrease slightly.”
