In a statement on Friday Health Minister Zweli Mkhize revealed that the Covid-19 death toll had risen to 397.

The number of cumulative cases rose to 20,125, an increase of 988.
The Western Cape still has nearly two-thirds of all cases with 12,888 and 2,521 in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape close behind with 2,459.
Recoveries have also risen, to 10,104 recoveries.
