By Citizen Reporter

Emergency services were called out to the site of a water treatment plant in Bluff on Monday afternoon, where excavations uncovered skeletal remains which are believed to be that of a child, reports Southlands Sun.

The water treatment plant is currently under construction.

An inquest has been opened at Brighton Beach SAPS for investigation.

In December last year, a similar discovery was made on a Bluff property, where skeletal remains found were estimated to be between 90 and 100 years old.

Workers made the shocking discovery of a human skeleton at a depth of about one and a half metres while they were digging a trench.

Updates to follow as more information comes to light.
