Cullinan police investigate kidnapping of businessman

The businessman has not been heard from since the incident, which occurred on Sunday evening, 8 April.


Police are investigating the kidnapping of a businessman on the Moloto Road in Cullinan, Gauteng, on Sunday, Pretoria East Rekord reports.

The incident happened at about 9.30pm when three men driving in a bakkie were forced off the road by three unknown armed men in a white VW Jetta.

According to police spokesperson Constable Connie Moganedi, the suspects instructed one passenger to run away while forcing the two other two men into the Jetta, one of whom (the businessman) was bundled into the car’s boot.

The suspects drove away, but stopped after a while, gave the bakkie driver his car keys, then left with the businessman still in the boot.

Moganedi said the businessman had not been heard from since.

She asked anyone with information to call the Cullinan police on 012-734-0751 or via 08600-10111.
