Two people dead, three injured in Free State car crash

The driver of a car, with five occupants, reportedly lost control of the vehicle which then rolled.


Two people died when they were ejected from a car that rolled after the driver lost control of the vehicle on the N6 in Bloemfontein and three more were injured, paramedics said on Sunday.

Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious crash on the N6 in Bloemfontein just before noon on Sunday, Netcare 911 spokesman Shawn Herbst said.

The driver of a car, with five occupants, reportedly lost control of the vehicle which then rolled.

“Sadly two people were declared deceased on the scene when they were ejected from the vehicle in the crash. Three other people sustained minor injuries and were treated on [the] scene before being transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment,” he said.
