WATCH: Disturbing footage of childminder abusing infant

The baby struggled frantically until it went limp.

A woman, 68, believed to be a childminder was caught on video putting her hand over a frantically struggling infant’s face until the baby went limp in Johannesburg North.

Police followed up on the information and located the woman in Diepsloot on January 16.

“The woman was arrested and charged with child abuse. The suspect will appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon,” said Constable Moyahabo Jenny Morata.

What is more disturbing is the woman shooting the video and not doing anything about the abuse but ignores phones calls coming through so they can keep recording. The woman is heard commending the old lady for her actions.

You can watch the disturbing video on the Fourways Review.

As the case evolves, more information will be made available.
