As winter slowly comes to an end the South African Weather Service (Saws) says most parts of the country will be cool and warm on Sunday 23 August 2026.

Gauteng:
Fine and warm.

Fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the Lowveld from the afternoon.
Limpopo:
Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the Lowveld from the afternoon.
North West:
Fine and warm.
Free State:
Fine and cool to warm.
Northern Cape:
Fine and cool to warm.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly.
Western Cape:
Morning fog patches in the south-west and in places in the south, otherwise fine and cool to warm, but partly
cloudy along the south coast.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly but light south-westerly along the south
coast in the morning.

Eastern Cape (western half):
Cloudy with fog patches in the north-east at first, otherwise fine and cool.
The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly, becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
KwaZulu-Natal:
Morning fog patches over the western interior, otherwise fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy over
the north-east from late morning.
The wind along the coast will be fresh to southerly to south-westerly becoming moderate south-easterly in the
south by the afternoon but light and variable in the evening.
