Salt Rock Coffee Co founder brews up victory at Business Women Awards

Organised by Miss North Coast KZN director Katryn Celliers, the awards ceremony aimed to spotlight female entrepreneurs and provide a platform for their continued success.

Salt Rock Coffee Co founder Cara Cochrane clinched the overall competition title, as well as Female Entrepreneur of the Year category at the inaugural Business Women of the North Coast awards ceremony at Simbithi Country Club on Saturday.

She recieved R10 000 prize money to inject into her business.

“I did not expect to win at all. I am humbled by the love and support I get from our regular customers and staff who have become friends over the years. There are so many women who work tirelessly on their businesses and it’s such an honor to be celebrated,” Cara said.

According to organiser, Miss North Coast KZN director Katryn Celliers, the awards were designed to give female entrepreneurs a platform to further grow their businesses.
