The tournament welcomed internationally renowned martial arts technique specialist, grand master, Xuan-ha as well as 12 martial arts teams with a range of techniques from the ages of six to 45.

“The age of technology has introduced us to remarkable discoveries and judging from South Africa’s obesity rate, unhealthy kids too.”

This was according to martial arts coach Vladimir Gracher from Martial Arts Masters in Ballito, speaking at the Global Taewondo Foundation (GTF) tournament on Saturday, May 21 at Ashton International College.

Gracher, who has a passion for instructing an array of martial arts techniques, organised the event to promote the sport among all age groups.

”Regardless of age or gender, anyone can learn martial arts as a way to defend themselves and to keep healthy,” said Gracher.

The tournament welcomed internationally renowned martial arts technique specialist, grand master, Xuan-ha as well as 12 martial arts teams with a range of techniques from the ages of six to 45.

The event proved that competitive sport can be still be fun and stood by Gracher’s statement that “one is never too old to learn.”
