Easter Sunday on the Dolphin Coast was all downhill at the Lions’ Soapbox Derby.
This was the 24th installment of this popular racing day and the Lions saw plenty of kids – and a few adults – flying downhill in their soapbox cars.
Between lekker boerie rolls and tasty hamburgers onlookers watched as race after race came tearing down Hawkins Road. Fortunately there were no serious accidents, though there were more than a few 180 degree slides as the young lads came to grips with the steering.
100% of theproceeds from the Lions’Soapbox Derby will go towards helping the previously disadvantaged on the Dolphin Coast.
