Colour crazy for a good cause at Bloom Colour Run

Participants were dusted in coloured paint powder and finished the race looking like works of art.

Hundreds of runners and walkers of all ages became living canvases at the annual Bloom Colour Run held at Sugar Rush Park on Saturday.

With colour throwers stationed at the start and finish of the course, participants were dusted in coloured paint powder and finished the race looking like works of art.

Dynamite comes in small packages as seen by Melo Mgeyane at the Bloom colour run.

The 5km run/walk followed a route along Holla trails and included a 2km forest walk for toddlers and their parents.

Funds raised from this well-supported event go towards providing both financial support for the special needs school as well as raising awareness around children with special needs.

The Bloom Centre, founded by Nicola Stirton and Erick Hardy, opened its doors in 2014 and currently has three fully functional classrooms for their 20 special needs learners.
