Join the Destiny Life Academy online family
Judging by its 100% matric pass rate for 6 consecutive years, DLA obviously takes its mandate to develop young people into champions in a Christian-orientated environment very seriously.
Next year Destiny Life Academy (DLA) will celebrate 12 years of education excellence as a Christian high school unlocking young people’s full potential.
Situated in Umhlali, DLA is often described as an ‘education jewel’ on the North Coast.
Judging by its 100% matric pass rate for 6 consecutive years, DLA obviously takes its mandate to develop young people into champions in a Christian-orientated environment very seriously.
The Covid-19 pandemic has posed many challenges to families in the local community, and DLA has met these challenges with innovation and technology.
The school is therefore pleased to announce the official launch of its online schooling option to meet the needs of pupils and parents in a fast changing world.
“Because we pride ourselves in creating a family environment, our online option will mimic school life for our ‘at-home’ pupils,” said DLA principal, Colleen Moodley.
Pupils will interact with the entire class during lessons and ‘at home’ pupils will also be invited to participate in various extracurricular activities such as prize-givings, dances, fundraising events and art and culture exhibitions.
Online pupils will be trained to use the ‘Google Classroom’ platform, which has been found to be very user friendly and effective. They will be required to have a suitable device as well as adequate internet connection.
