• A 40-year-old Ntshawini resident was also recently robbed of R40 000 in KwaDukuza.
Khuzwayo said the man was walking down King Shaka Street when he was approached by a woman who asked for directions to the nearest bathrooms.
While he was trying to help her, a car stopped next to him and a man produced a fake police card, telling him he must come with them for questioning regarding the money he was carrying.
“We urge residents not to withdraw large amounts of money. Police are investigating,” said Khuzwayo.
