WATCH: Teamwork leads to quick arrest at Ballito Junction

The man thought to be behind the attempted robbery was caught hiding in the bushes behind the shopping centre.

The quick response and teamwork of security agencies, police and the Ilembe Cluster Task Team led to the apprehension of a man who allegedly attempted to hold up a shop in the Ballito Junction this morning.

According to Junction CEO Geraldine Jorgensen, around 10am this morning an armed man entered the Blue Bay furniture shop on level two, producing a handgun and holding the store’s employees up.

“One of the staff members managed to hit the panic button and mall security came running,” said Jorgensen.
