Dancing for Madiba

Hirsch and Sugar Dance get their Zumba on.

Hirsch Ballito, Sugar Dance and ILIX, producers of delicious ice-cream and sorbet, got together on the eve of Mandela Day to literally raise the roof for 67 minutes of Zumba fun in the Hirsch showroom.

The entrance fee for the event was stationary and exercise books for an orphanage in KwaDukuza.

Dancers were treated to healthy smoothie shots made in the Nutribullet, and deliciously sinful sorbet shots from ILIX.

One of the highlights of the evening was when five-year-old Lucien Nicholson took to the podium to lead the dancers.

“It was a great performance, and Lucien rounded off the fun evening, in memory of an icon, brilliantly,” said Hirsch’s Lindy Gray.
