Two arrested for Durban Day murder
Durban police worked quickly with community members to make the arrests.

Two men aged 18 and 19 were arrested on Monday after the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old at the BP Durban Day event at People’s park in Durban on Sunday evening.
The two arrested will be charged for murder and attempted murder and are expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate Court soon.
Police said it is alleged that on Sunday evening, there was an altercation between two groups of men from the Wentworth and Newlands East area within the park.
One of the men stabbed the victim in the chest.
After stabbing the victim, the suspect dropped the knife and fled whilst his friend, kicked the victim.
Security guards immediately intervened and removed the two groups out of the park.
Paramedics arrived but were unable to resuscitate the victim and he died.
Outside the park, a friend of the deceased was stabbed on the hand by the other suspect who also fled.
Police are investigating circumstances around a third victim that was also stabbed and admitted to hospital.
