Bus crashes into house

Five people left injured, after a bus crashed into a house.

Five people were injured after a bus crashed into a house yesterday on the link road towards Glendale in the Ashville area, Ilembe district.

KZN EMS spokesman Robert Mckenzie said paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services and a local private ambulance treated the five patients after a bus crashed backwards, through the fence, into the house.

Three bus passengers, two high school children and a woman around 40 years of age, had minor injuries.

A man in his twenties, who was walking on the road, was seriously injured after being hit by the bus and a second pedestrian was slightly injured.

No one inside the house was injured.

The cause of the crash is not known at this stage and will be investigated by the police
