Tuck shop accused of selling stolen goods

Police seized goods allegedly stolen from a local school.

Police were called to Velani township on Thursday, after two employees of a Pakistani owned tuck shop were accused of buying and selling stolen items from the shop.

About thirty residents gathered outside the store demanding that the police close the tuck shop.

They had accused two women of buying tinned fish and candles that were allegedly stolen from Tinley Manor Primary School.

The school was broken into at the beginning of October.

Police seized the items but allowed the store to continue to operate while they investigate the allegations.
