Ashton matrics score best results ever
Top Ashton pupils made it into the top five percent nationally.
Asthon International College matrics “soared like eagles” in their final Independent Examination Board (IEB) exams, with two pupils, Christine Brockensha and Alwyn Small achieving results that put them in the top five percent of all private school pupils.
“I get goosebumps when I think about this year’s results. These are our best results ever,” said Joe Erasmus, Ashton’s executive head at their result ceremony on Wednesday, December 30 at the school.
Erasmus said the group achieved a 100 percent pass rate, 1.7 percent above the national IEB average, with 90.8 percent of the class of 2015 achieving aggregates above 60 percent.
Teachers, parents and graduates celebrated with strawberries and bubbly after the ceremony before going their seperate ways.
