UPDATE: Child hit by car dies in hospital
The young girl hit by a car on the M4 lost her life during the course of last night.
A seven-year-old girl who was hit by a car on the M4 in Westbrook yesterday died in King Edward Hospital during the night.
The girl tried to cross the M4 between Beach Bums and La Mercy.
She suffered critical injuries.
