The festive season in Ballito is synonymous with GP number plates and gazebos on the beach.
Gautengers explained why they trek down to Ballito every year.
“The holidays are great, because we come to the beach,” said Kyla, Jasmin and Crystal Nasser.
“This is the first time we are visiting Ballito. The beaches are quite rocky, so we are still trying to find the best swimming beach. We are having fun exploring Ballito,” said Sphiwe and Nick Lepholletse.
“My dog, Blossom and I love coming to Thompson’s Bay for a swim and a walk on the beach during the holidays,” said Gabby Laubscher.
“We often visit Willard Beach, because it is so clean and the atmosphere is nice,” said Elaine with her family Megan, Delicia and Dylan Dreyer.
“We love playing in the sand and the water. It is so fun here,” said Aphiwe with her sisters Siphokazi and Simphiwe Zuma.
“The weather is great. The water is fantastic. The promenade is beautiful and the beaches are exceptionally clean,” said Koos and Lynda van Heerden
