Jump for joy at ‘big school’
Thousands of little children will start with their school career this week.
Loaded with stationary boxes and bags, parents followed their tiny tots wearing brand new blue and white uniforms into Umhlali Prep for the first time on Tuesday morning.
Holding mom’s hand, the brave 2016 grade ones made their way to the class lists to find out where to go and who their teacher will be.
Teachers welcomed the newbies with open arms and big smiles into the colourful classrooms.
While the first moments were quite daunting for most, the children quickly defrosted as they unpacked their stationary and met their new desk neighbour.
Most schools on the Dolphin Coast will be receiving their new pupils on Wednesday, so look out for photos in next week’s edition.
