Our blue drop is best

Sembcorp Siza Water has been named the bluest of blue after getting the highest Blue Drop Score – a whopping 99,19%.

This is according to the Department of Water and Sanitation‘s 2014 Audit Report, released last week.

Six criteria were focused on during the blue water assessments: water safety planning; process management and control; drinking water quality compliance; management, accountability and local regulation; asset management and water use efficiency and water loss management.

Sembcorp Siza Water managing director, Shyam Misra, said they have worked extremely hard in achieving this accreditation.

“The combined effort of the management team and dedicated staff has been the driver of this achievement and is one that we are extremely proud of. We are committed to and will continue to strive on providing excellent water supply services to our customers.”

The Department of Water and Sanitation started this incentive based regulation by introducing the Blue Water Service Audits (BWSA) to all water service institutions with the aim of improving provision of water services across the country in 2009.
