Deloitte Challenge road closures

This will be the second year for the Deloitte Challenge following a very successful inaugural event in 2015.

It’s Deloitte Challenge time with more than 6000 runners and cyclists expected to take to the road between Ballito and Durban on Sunday, May 1.

This year, a total of about R70 000 in prize money awaits those tackling the marathon, half marathon and the newly-added Ten-K events taking place under the Deloitte Challenge banner.

The event also includes a 5km fun run and a 40km road cycle race.

Entries close on Monday, April 18 but for now, you can enter at www.Deloittechallenge.co.za. No late entries will be accepted.

The cycle race, which will be the first event to start, will follow the marathon route from Ballito to Durban along the M4/Ruth First highway.

Ensuring the safety of all entrants, volunteers and supporters is of utmost importance.

On Sunday, May 1 the M4 will be closed in both directions from Ballito to Umhlanga Rocks. From Umhlanga Rocks to Durban, only the north bound lanes will be closed.
