Hirsch’s has partnered with the Ilembe Chamber to reward local business women with the Margaret Hirsch woman in business achiever of the month award.

Margaret has won many business awards herself, and saw the benefit from the recognition she received – both for her business and herself.

The Chamber is keen on expanding the number of business women members, and together with Hirsch’s, they hold monthly networking events where the award will be presented to deserving business women.

The competition is open to all women in business throughout the Ilembe district.

The guest speakers at the July networking morning, on Thursday, were Tamsyn Ferreira, co-owner of Alifurn outdoor furniture, who has won several business awards herself (including the Margaret Hirsch Award for the area) and Tracy Wilson, co-owner of Incredible Health.

June and July winners of the Ilembe Chamber Margaret Hirsch’s Women in business achiever were also announced, and these women now go into the final selection of women who stand a chance to win the regional title.

Amanda Maidman, the owner of Scoop ice cream, and a runner-up in the Ilembe Chamber Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2015 was the winner for the month of June, and Lesa Bradshaw, who co- owns BradshawLeRoux consulting was chosen as the winner for July.

Lesa will be the guest speaker at the next meeting on August 11.
