VIDEO: Flooding in Shakaskraal
While the rain was welcomed in our drought-stricken area, the deluge swamped the roads and many homes.
The North Coast received downpours of rain from the weekend when the predicted cold front arrived leaving areas such as Shakaskraal, local informal settlements, parts of Salt Rock and Umdloti flooded.
WATCH: People wading in knee-deep water to cross the road in Shakaskraal yesterday.
The flood waters have since receded in Shakaskraal.
