Car engulfed in flames at Townsend Park, Ballito

The fire was contained but only a shell remains.

The fire engine rushed to the Scout Hall in Townsend road to douse the flames of a car that was on fire earlier this morning.

The car apparently belonged to a 50-year-old woman and reportedly a jacket in the car caught alight, according to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst.

The fire was contained but the car was engulfed in flames and is now only the shell remains.
