Five people injured in truck collision at Melville

The truck was carrying a load of timber that half buried two cars in the accident.

A truck and two light motor vehicles collided on the R102 at the Melville this morning.

IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst said they treated five people with moderate to minor injuries.

It was reported that the truck’s brakes may have failed, however this will be subject to a police investigation.

The truck was carrying a load of timber, that spewed out across the road during the accident.
