N2 accident claims life of 21-year-old Stanger student
A second-year law student he was on his way to write an examination in Durban.
Mikailin Naicker, the son of a well known KwaDukuza (Stanger) man Tarzan Naicker, died yesterday afternoon after his car rolled on the N2 South before the Tongaat Toll Plaza.
The 21-year-old was on his way to Varsity College in Durban to write an examination.
According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst, the young man was gone into cardiac arrest but he was successfully resuscitated and was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
Mikailin passed away at 4pm yesterday afternoon.
Mikailin’s uncle, Gideon Pillay said that the family is devastated.
“Mikailin was the youngest of three siblings. He was a second year law student and had a bright future ahead of him.
“We thought he would pull through but he had a bad head injury. His skull was cracked.”
Mikailin’s funeral will be held tomorrow at 10.30am the Stanger Sungam Hall.
