Unique collage launched at Salt Rock to help matriculates discover their life’s purpose

Throughout the year students will be lectured by some of South Africa's most influential leaders, and market place influencers.

Linc‘s dynamic lead pastor Dylan Jahnig is driven by a burning passion to impact the next generation with his vision for a 10 000 strong varsity college on the Dolphin Coast.

This college will be unlike anything existing here, as its primary aim will be to “empower the youth to know who they are and what they are called to do, and this could mean anything”.

Jahnig said it all started three years ago when a young man, Stephan Meyer asked if he could intern at Linc Church.

“The following year we had more requests and we started to formalise the programme. At the end of the year, five of them were head-hunted for jobs and the others knew what they wanted to study to pursue their passions. I realised that we were onto something big.

“The students enjoy a buzzing campus life here at Linc while combining practical life experience with business and creative skills.”

Jagnig said their students will be exposed to a variety of short courses and in-house training in business, leadership and the creative arts, while taking part in community projects, serving as volunteers on a Sunday and going on short term mission trips.

Students will complete their first year with a Catalyst Level 1 Certification, and a 12-week business short course through the University of Cape Town.

“Throughout the year students will be lectured by some of South Africa’s most influential leaders, and market place influencers.”

Jagnig said the college should be seen as a stepping stone into a bright future.

“Students often leave school with big dreams and excitement around their futures, often with no idea of what that future looks like. Our goal as a college is to get them to the heart of what they are born and purposed for, so that they can build the future they dreamed of.”

Linc College will be launched on September 19 at Linc campus in Salt Rock. The public is invited to join them from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm to find out more. You can also visit www.linc.college or phone Andre Barnard on 082 872 7047.

Four of the current Linc Collage students Jared Opperman, Olly Hardy, Bianca Hattingh and Caylin Weedon.
