BAMSA indaba on how to uplift the poor

Business as Mission SA invites Christian businessmen and women and churches who want to make a difference and create jobs through partnering with others to come together to learn from one another.

International speakers will share their experiences and models on how to ‘build capacity and break dependency’ at the second Business as Mission SA Indaba (BAMSA) from September 14 to 16 at Real Life Church on 1 Ballito Drive.

The indaba is the brainchild of Keith and Angela McLaren who run a church, orphanage and day care centre in Mtubatuba in Zululand and have successfully implemented income-generating methods (such as aquaponics, farming God’s way, bread ovens, egg production and broilers) to increase their income and support the community.

They invite Christian businessmen and women and churches who want to make a difference and create jobs through partnering with others to come together to learn from one another.

Four dynamic speakers to look forward to include Patrick Kuwana, Tom Jennings, Daniel Gunaseelan and Nick Schreifels.

Kuwana’s passion is working with leaders and organisations that are committed to unlocking the vast economic potential of Africa.

This is accomplished by building new sustainable systems of inclusive wealth creation and prosperity that will benefit all Africans.

Jennings is an international consultant who brings 40 years of extensive experience having trained leaders of academia, business, government and non-government organisations in Europe, Asia, North and South America and Africa.

Tom is currently on staff with Children’s HopeChest and is focused on bringing transformation through entrepreneurship and training to countries like Guatemala and Swaziland.

Gunaseelan is the owner and CEO of Gateway Ventures, an international company which manufactures and supplies equipment to the oil and gas fields.

He is also pastor of Spring of Life Church in Almaty. He helps pastors in Russian speaking nations to start their own businesses in order to support themselves “so that the Gospel of God’s grace can advance to all nations”.

Schreifels is a businessman with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Nick has worked in various capacities: a CPA firm, military service as a Naval Officer, and various accounting and business professions prior to joining a global mission organisation for the past 30 years.

He is currently involved in developing innovative business solutions for proven leaders in strategic locations around the world.

Registration for the conference costs R650 for three days and includes tea and lunch.

People are welcome to book individual sessions.
