Dolphin coast taxi bosses with soft hearts

Sbusiso Mazibuko of the South African Taxi Council in the Ilembe region said the council had instructed all associations to give back to the community every year.

Forty-eight pupils from disadvantaged schools in the Dolphin Coast went home with new school uniforms on Monday, August 29.

The uniforms were donated by the Dolphin Coast Taxi Association which identified six lucky pupils from eight schools. These were Radha Roopsingh, Tinley Manor, Etete, Osizweni, Maguyana, Glendale, Dinuphozo Primary School and Qoqulwazi Secondary School.

Sbusiso Mazibuko of the South African Taxi Council in the Ilembe region said the council had instructed all associations to give back to the community every year.

“Last year we donated 40 uniforms and this year our aim was to donate 70. However, some schools did not submit their list of pupils,” said Mazibuko.
Teachers thanked the association for their positive input in the lives of the disadvantaged pupils.

“We appreciate the initiative taken by the association at our school and we wish them luck and blessings in their lives. The uniforms will make a huge difference in these kids as most of the pupils in our school are from poor families,” said Etete Primary School principal Sihle Mdlalose.
