Taxi driver hijacked, forced to flee naked in Shaka’s Head
The driver managed to flag down a passing security company car for assistance.
A taxi driver was hijacked on the R102 before Shaka’s Head by his passengers last Sunday evening.
Umhlali police spokesman, Vinny Pillay told The Courier that the driver only had three passengers left at the end of the day, when just before Shaka’s Head one of the passengers asked the driver to stop.
“When the passenger got out of the taxi, he pulled out a gun and ordered the driver to move over to the passenger seat.”
The man with the gun got behind the wheel and drove the taxi into a sugarcane field where the other two took the driver’s phone and ordered him to remove his clothes and run away – naked.
The driver managed to flag down a passing security company’s car for assistance.
No arrests have been made.
