Prisoner who escaped Umhlali court found and re-arrested
The Umhlali K9 unit and the Umhlali Task Team pursued a lead and found the Shaka’s Head man.
The prisoner who escaped from the Umhlali Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday has been found and re-arrested according to Umhlali SAPS spokesman warrant officer Vinny Pillay.
“The Umhlali K9 unit and the Umhlali Task Team pursued a lead and found the Shaka’s Head man in Shayamoya earlier today,” said Pillay.
“The man (25), charged with rape and robbery, ran out of court and into the nearby sugar cane field after his case was postponed to December.”
