Entries poured in for The North Coast Courier Printwild annual photograph competition, this year to the theme #GreatPhonePhoto.
The entries were so varied with funky, offbeat and inspirational photos coming in on Facebook and Instagram that made it particularly difficult to choose the winners this year.
The only real limit placed on the creativity of the entries was that the photograph had to be taken by you, from your phone.
The winners are, in first place, Charles Southwood with his stunning black and white picture of stormclouds gathering over Ballito.

In second place Alison Pearson with a picture of her son peddling through a mud puddle – a beautiful moment capturing the essence of childhood.

In third, Lucy de Freitas with her endearing photo of her godchild after bathtime and in fourth, Kriben Naidoo’s eye-catching silhouette of fishermen at Richard’s Bay pier.

First prize is two nights’ accommodation for two people sharing at Rhino River Lodge in Zululand valued at R8600, including two daily game drives and three meals each day (T’s & C’s apply). The big 5 safari lodge offers you an intimate and comfortable safari experience, with excellent game viewing and luxury accommodation.
Second prize is a Faceblock Wall valued at R3 000. Third prize is an A2 Contemporary Framed photo collage, a collection of images condensed into a neat photo collage, with a white or black contemporary frame profile valued at R1,750 (incl design fees). Fourth prize is an A3 Bamboo Box Frame valued at R750.
The three winners of the spot prizes – randomly drawn among those photos that got five or more likes – are, Raeesa Azeezuddeen, Chantall Roberts and Seshen Brijmohun. They will each receive a R300 voucher to use online at www.printwild.co.za
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all those who entered!
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondance will be entered into.
