Hazelmere dam level decline
The drought may have lifted but water remains a precious resource.
The Hazelmere Dam level as of January 6, is at 66,01% according to Umgeni Water.
This total is slightly lower than it was last year, when it hovered just below 70%.
The South African Sugar Cane Research institute (SASRI) weather report gave December’s average rainfall on the North Coast as 123,6mm.
Although water restrictions have been lifted, conservation of water should remain part of our lives.
