Umhlali SAPS to share Easter joy

Food, clothes, as well as Easter eggs are needed.

The Umhlali SAPS’ Easter bunnies are gearing for a busy holiday, preparing to deliver gifts to vulnerable children on the North Coast.

Spokesperson Vinny Pillay said they have opened collections to their annual drive, which will be done differently this year.

“We usually target about 12 schools but we know that there are many more children who are deserving of gifts. This year we are planning a much bigger drive and we are hoping to have enough gifts for the children in creches, hospitals and children homes.”

Food, clothes, as well as Easter eggs are needed.

“These children usually wait until Christmas for gifts, and they should not have to. Everyone should experience the joy of Easter.”

Donations are to be dropped off with captain Vinny Pillay at Umhlali SAPS.
