The World Environment Day march was hosted by KwaDukuza municipality.

More than 140 young people from 10 local primary schools stepped out into the streets of the Stanger CBD last Thursday to make their voices heard as they petitioned for better care of the earth and all its splendor.

KwaDukuza acting mayor Dolly Govender encouraged both residents and school pupils to always take care of the environment during the World Environment Day march hosted by KwaDukuza municipality.

“We have a lot to learn from the first world countries because they are doing an amazing job when it comes to being environmentally friendly,” said Govender.

She further urged teachers to always emphasize the importance of being environmentally friendly in schools.
