Food for Life provides 2000 meals to the hungry

This is where companies are urged to assist in sponsoring or contributing towards the organisation which sees to the filling of thousands of bellies, and business owners in return add value to their corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Tongaat non-profit organisation Food For Life hope to give out a whopping 2000 plates of food free of charge to the underprivileged on a monthly basis.

The meals, a sumptuous and nutritious soya-based vegetable biriyani is approximately R4.40 per plate to make and, as funding increases, so too will the monthly feedings.

Once per year, the organisation does what they refer to as a ‘Big Feed’.

The plan this year is to raise enough funds to cook and distribute some 27 000 meals to feed the less privileged and, this is expected to be done on November 2.
