SPCA never left Ballito, still going strong

Despite what many may have heard, the Ballito SPCA has not closed its doors and remains very much active throughout Ballito and surrounds.
The Ballito SPCA is a satellite of the Durban & Coast SPCA based in Springfield Park, Durban.
Earlier this year, the Ballito SPCA were required to vacate their leased premises at Farmwatch R83 in May.

A well-known and friendly face to the community, SPCA field officer Nathi Ngisu continues to assist with collection of strays and rescues.
According to the Durban and Coast SPCA’s marketing manager, Tanya Fleischer, Nathi is instrumental in the transport of both rescues, strays and surrendered animals to the SPCA’s headquarters in Springfield Park.
Meanwhile, qualified inspector Sabelo Ngcobo continues to carry out inspections and animal cruelty investigations on the North Coast.
The SPCA’s local charity shop, The Dog Box also continues generating the much-needed funds for the animal welfare organisation.
