Black Monday becomes a thing as Eskom implements stage 4 loadshedding

Loadshedding is expected to continue for the rest of the week.

It’s set to be a very dark Monday today with gloomy weather not being the only factor in bringing darkness to the country.

Eskom has just announced the change from stage two to four in its loadshedding requirements for the day.

“We regret that due to additional loss of units at our power stations, stage two loadshedding will move to stage four as from 10am to 11pm,” Eskom said.

Loadshedding Times:

Ballito (KwaDukuza’s southern network) is still expected to go off from 4pm to 6.30pm today.

Mandeni is expected to go off from 10am until 12.30pm and again at 6pm till 8.30pm.

As for the KwaDukuza’s northern network (Tinley Manor to Zinkwazi) loadshedding will start at noon until 2.30pm and again at 8pm until 10.30pm.

Tongaat is expected to experience loadshedding from 2pm until 4pm and then again from 10pm until midnight.
