Akhile wears the Miss Dolphin Coast crown

This marks the ninth successful Miss Dolphin Coast pageant and Landman said she and the judges were very pleased with the venue as well as the finalists.

It was a day made for the crowning of the new Miss Dolphin Coast when scores of models took to the runway at the Zimbali Wedge on Saturday.

The Miss Dolphin Coast pageant saw competitors vie for the crown of Miss Dolphin Coast as model after model walked down the runway with both poise and elegance before sharing about herself and her dreams.

The event was organised by Simply Models’ Karen Landman and sponsored by OK Food and Liquor stores.

One such model, who not only had the judges’ eyebrows raised but instantly grabbed the attention of the audience was Akhile Moleti, who would go on to be crowned the 2020 Miss Dolphin Coast.

Akhile not only has poise, grace and elegance, but this smiling lady has aspirations and dreams too. Akhile said she hopes to become a cardiologist.

This marks the ninth successful Miss Dolphin Coast pageant and Landman said she and the judges were very pleased with the venue as well as the finalists.

“Miss Dolphin Coast’s main focus is to celebrate talent and beauty in KwaZulu-Natal and, it is a privilege to host this prestigious and fun-filled event in Ballito on an annual basis. Our winners continue doing charity and outreach events throughout the year whilst carrying their title as Miss Dolphin Coast.”

Each contestant donated a small gift in the form of books or stationery to The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.
